A unique development.
The development of Binningup Beach provides a unique opportunity to create a settlement of lasting value to the existing community and future generations of Western Australians.
Mirvac acknowledges its responsibility as the builder of future communities and as a custodian of the environment. Our vision is to create a masterplanned coastal community that sets a new benchmark for sustainable living.
Following over four years of field work and surveys, the project is now undergoing an Environmental Review, with detailed documentation and process in accordance with Federal and State requirements.
A copy of the Environmental Review can be downloaded at Shire of Harvey website. Submissions closed, 15 September 2009.
The development has also been referred to the federal Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and Arts.

News December 2009:
The EPA has now released its report and recommendations on the proposal. The recommendations include that an area that roughly corresponds to the southern half of the site should be set aside for conservation.
This recommendation is inconsistent with information contained in the Environmental Review and is difficult to reconcile with the proposed Structure Plan, which already includes significant areas to be set aside for conservation and provides a clear management framework for those areas.
As such Mirvac and the Shire of Harvey have lodged separate appeals with the Minister for the Environment.
On resolution of the appeal, Mirvac will provide further information about how and when the development will proceed.
