Park progress update: November 2011
Park, the second stage of Waterfront Newstead, is well progressed with the building now up to level 16 - it's final level. The construction team are on track for an expected completion, and settlement, of the Park apartments for winter 2012.
Besides the tower structure being 100% complete, the construction team have commenced window installation up to level 12, block work has commenced up to level 14, wall ramming has commenced up to level 8 and sheeting has commenced to level 7. Joinery installation, painting and carpet installation is also progressing well.
With the Park precinct now standing tall in Newstead, prospective buyers can instantly recognise what excellent value and lifestyle it provides. Park looks across hectares of parkland and open space towards the river in one direction and back towards the CBD in the other.
This is truly Brisbane's tranquil address that's in the heart of it all.

Pier is complete
With all the finishing touches now complete, many residents now call Pier home.
As part of the completion of stage one, Mirvac formally handed over to the Brisbane City Council the large park at the centre of its development, named Waterfront Park, as well as a park fronting the Brisbane River called Wharf Park.

Construction started in 2009
Construction on Pier, Waterfront's first and most premium stage of residential apartments and penthouses began in March 2009, with Campbell Newman turning the site's first shovel of soil.
When this photo was taken, construction was full steam ahead, with piling completed and foundation works over 65% complete. The laying of basement slabs commenced in April 2009 and was followed by the construction of the podium construction in May.
Roadwork associated with the extension of Skyring Terrace & Market Street was also underway.

Pier progress updates:
January 2010
Quite a change to the streetscape - Pier, the first of Waterfront's offerings, was well and truly taking shape with both structures on schedule for completion in 2011.
Render and paint works were well underway for both buildings. Internally, glazing, tiling works and joinery had also commenced.
Roadways to the precinct were completed with only the entry roadwork's to Pier remaining for completion.
November 2009, saw the commencement of the stunning lake, taking centre stage in the precinct.
August 2010
By August, 2010, Pier was well and truly progressing. The external facade of both buildings was in its final stage. With the scaffolding about to come down, the building was close to being unveiled. When the scaffolding came down, this triggered a second phase of work to the Level 1 courtyards, installing pergolas, stonework and landscaping.
As the building construction was underway, so to was works to the external landscaping to the riverside of both buildings plus to the pool areas, Wharf Park and Pier Plaza. Structural and civil works for the Lake were also nearing completion with the lake filter system to commence in September/October.
